North Korea unveils first long-range radar detection aircraft: Kim Jong-un approves interior

The DPRK conducted the first test flight of a long-range radar detection aircraft based on the IL-76 cargo aircraft. The country's leader, Kim Jong-un, personally inspected the interior of the aircraft, which, judging by the published footage, is equipped with modern control systems.

The aircraft, which has been under development for more than a year, is equipped with a variety of workstations with monitors and flat screens on the inner walls. This allows operators to monitor the air and sea conditions in real time. According to experts, such systems (AWACS) can significantly enhance the capabilities of air defense and control over the region, although the exact technical specifications remain classified.
