The MQ-20 Avenger is testing the Hivemind artificial intelligence during the Orange Flag exercise.
The General Atomics jet drone, equipped with the software "reference stack of autonomy" from Shield AI, took part in the exercises.
After integration into the MQ-20, Shield AI's reference autonomy stack, which includes a pilot-vehicle interface (PVI), demonstrated autonomous flight with a focus on aerial combat.
