A South Korean KF-16 fighter jet accidentally dropped eight bombs on a civilian area: seven injured, four in serious condition

 Seven people in South Korea were injured, four of them seriously, after a fighter jet accidentally dropped eight bombs on a civilian area during a live—fire military exercise.

The incident with the KF-16 Air Force aircraft occurred around 10:04 a.m. local time (01:04 GMT) in the city of Pyongchong, near the border with North Korea.It is believed that only one bomb exploded. 

The bomb disposal team is working to safely dispose of the remaining seven unexploded bombs, authorities in Pyongyang told the BBC. They said that residents living nearby had been evacuated.
