Donald Trump Jr. plans to visit Greenland two weeks after his father reiterated his desire for the United States to take control of the autonomous Danish territory. The son of the US president-elect plans to record a video for a podcast during a one-day private visit, according to American media. Donald Trump reignited the controversy in December, saying that "ownership and control of Greenland is an absolute necessity" for U. S. national security. He had previously expressed interest in buying the Arctic island during his first term as president. Both times, Trump was rebuffed by Greenland'sleaders.
