Investigators found bird feathers and blood in both engines of the Jeju Air plane that crashed in South Korea in December, killing 179 people, a source familiar with the investigation said.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft, which took off from Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, to Muan County in southwestern South Korea, landed on its belly on December 29 and rolled off the runway of the regional airport, after which it caught fire after hitting an embankment.
Only two crew members who were in the tail section of the plane survived the worst plane crash in South Korea.
