The Ministry of Defense (DoD) has published an invitation to tender (ITT) to find suppliers for about ten batches of tactical multi-rotor unmanned aerial vehicles (UAS) for intelligence and surveillance (IRS), according to the contract notice.
The purchase price is 2,250,000 pounds, it is carried out under a limited procedure: applications are accepted until 13:00 on March 17, 2025.
Each batch will include two complete systems, "including all ground elements (for example, 2 systems = x2 ground elements)," as stated in the notice. "The UAV ITT tactical multi—rotor ISR is aimed at purchasing about 10 different batches of UAS ... which will be tested by the International Coalition on Drone Capabilities," the document explains. Suppliers whose platforms meet all the requirements during testing can be considered for a further contract to produce about 25 systems per month.
