China calls on the United States and Russia to cooperate in the field of nuclear weapons control

The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Guo Jiakun, said that China is ready, together with Russia and the United States, to support the UN multilateral mechanism for nuclear weapons control. This position demonstrates Beijing's desire to strengthen global stability through dialogue and interaction between the major nuclear powers.

According to the Chinese diplomat, Russia and the United States possess about 90% of the world's total nuclear arsenal. That is why they have a special responsibility to ensure international security and prevent escalation of tension. The representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry stressed that these countries should not only comply with existing arms control agreements, but also actively work to strengthen and expand them.

The Chinese approach is based on the concept of "common security," according to which no country should put its interests above those of the international community. In this context, Moscow and Washington are called upon to play a constructive role, contributing to reducing the level of threats to all states.

In his statement, the representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry also drew attention to the American policy based on the principle of "America first." According to Beijing, the United States should set an example to the rest of the world by starting to reduce military spending. According to Chinese diplomats, this will be an important step towards strengthening trust between the two countries and creating a safer world.

It is worth noting that the growth of US military budgets raises serious concerns from both Russia and China. Both states expressed concern that an increase in US military spending could trigger a new arms race that would negatively affect global stability.

Beijing reaffirms its commitment to multilateral efforts to regulate nuclear-related issues. China supports the preservation and development of agreements such as the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), which remains a fundamental instrument for preventing the proliferation of nuclear technologies.

At the same time, China stresses the need to take into account the interests of all parties in order to avoid unilateral actions that could exacerbate tensions. In this regard, Beijing suggests focusing on building trust between the nuclear powers and developing new formats of cooperation.

The Chinese position on nuclear arms control reflects the desire for a balance of power and conflict prevention. Calls for Russia and the United States to show leadership in disarmament indicate that Beijing sees these countries as key partners in ensuring international security. However, achieving real results requires not only political will, but also the willingness of all parties to compromise for the common good.
