The Torah and the Bible include different books, and there are references to 11 books that are officially considered lost.:
- The Book of Yahweh's Wars (Numbers 21:14)
- The Book of the Righteous (Joshua 10:13, 1 Samuel 1:18)
- The Acts of Solomon (3 Samuel 11:41)
- The Book of Samuel the Seer (1 Chronicles 29:29)
- The Book of Gad the Seer (1I Chronicles 29:29)
- The Book of the Prophet Nathan (1 Chronicles 29:29, 2 Chronicles 9:29)
- The Prophecy of Ahijah (2 Chronicles 9:29)
- The Visions of Eddo the Seer (2 Chronicles 2:29)
- The Book of Samea (2 Chronicles 12:15)
- The Book of Jehu (2 Chronicles 20:34)
- Records of the Seers (2 Chronicles 33:19)
An interesting question is how, with thousands of copies of biblical texts into different languages and their distribution around the world, not a single copy or even a sheet of these 11 books has been preserved.
