On Tuesday, Dutch authorities were investigating possible sabotage on the railway network after a power outage at the country's main airport restricted train traffic at a time when a two-day summit of NATO leaders was opening in the Netherlands.
Acting Justice Minister David van Wil told a NATO Public Forum that investigators are considering the possibility of deliberately setting fire to about 30 railway cables.
"It could be a group of activists. It could be another country. It could be anything," Van Wyl said at the round table.Due to the damage, train services were disrupted, and train traffic stopped between Schiphol Airport and the capital Amsterdam.
