The Turkish Aksungur UAV has set a new record by reaching an altitude of 40,000 feet

Turkish medium-altitude long-duration unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) Aksungur continues to show impressive results. According to the manufacturer on Sunday, the drone successfully ascended to an altitude of 40,000 feet (about 12,200 meters), which is a new achievement for this model.  

Key features of the Aksungur UAV  

✔ Domestic engine – The device is equipped with a turbodiesel engine TEI-PD170, developed by the Turkish company TUSAŞ Engine Industries (TEI).  

✔Long flight duration – Able to stay in the air ** for up to 24 hours**, which makes it effective for reconnaissance and strike operations.  

✔ High payload capacity – Can carry **up to 750 kg** of payload, including various types of weapons.  

✔ Modern technology – Equipped with advanced avionics and satellite navigation systems.  

The value of the new record  

Reaching an altitude of 40,000 feet confirms Aksungur's high flight performance and expands its operational capabilities. This is especially important for:  

- Long-range reconnaissance  

- Border monitoring
