On Thursday, German police raided the home of a 16-year-old teenager in the eastern federal state of Saxony on suspicion of possession of the highly toxic biological warfare agent ricin. It is suspected that the teenager manufactured and stored several vials of a mixture of plant toxins ricin and aconitine in a specially equipped laboratory in the attic of his family's house.
