France has banned Israeli firms from participating
in the upcoming naval exhibition, according to two sources with
knowledge of the situation. The latest incident highlights the
increasingly strained relations between the two allies.
Earlier this year, Paris had already banned Israeli
firms from participating in a military trade show.
The French Defense Ministry said at the time that the
conditions were no longer suitable for companies to
participate, as President Emmanuel Macron "calls on Israel to
cease operations in the Gaza Strip. "
The French Ministry of Defense and Foreign Ministry, the Israeli
Embassy and Euronaval, which organizes the annual
naval exhibition from November 4-7, did not respond
to requests for comment.
