ZALA AERO has presented updated versions of its strike and reconnaissance drones, the Lancet (Products 51 and 52) and the Z—16 reconnaissance UAV, to the Rosgvardiya special forces, as well as to the commanders of the SOBR and OMON. The main innovation is resistance to electronic warfare (EW), which is especially important in modern conditions, where the enemy actively suppresses satellite signals and radio control channels.
What's new in the Lancets?
The main thing is new communication channels capable of withstanding strong electronic pressure. This means that drones are now much more difficult to disable or disable with the help of interference. Drones have also received intelligent guidance systems that increase the accuracy of hitting targets, especially in difficult situations.
Another important feature is autonomous navigation without the use of GPS/GLONASS. During the demonstration, they showed how drones can navigate the terrain based on geographic information data. This is especially critical at the front, where satellite signals are often suppressed by the enemy.
Also, according to sources, the new version of the Z-16 is equipped with a system for countering FPV drones, which makes it even more versatile in modern combat conditions.
The updated Lancets and Z-16 are a major step forward in terms of resilience to modern threats, especially in the field of electronic warfare. Now they are not just attack or reconnaissance drones, but full-fledged elements of electronic warfare on the battlefield.
