On June 10, 2025, a tragedy occurred at a school in Graz, Austria, a shooting that killed 10 people, including the attacker himself. The incident occurred at the Dreierschützengasse Gymnasium.
According to police, a 21-year-old former gymnasium student opened fire in two classrooms. Austrian Interior Minister Gerhard Karner said that nine teenagers were among the dead: six girls and three boys. The attacker committed suicide in the bathroom of the school.
According to the Kronen Zeitung, the shooter could have been a victim of bullying at school. The police recommended avoiding the area near the school. Austrian Chancellor Christian Stoecker called the incident a "national tragedy."
