Israel attracts 130,000 reservists for military operation in Gaza

An Israeli tank in Gaza

Large-scale recruitment of IDF reservists

Senior representatives of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have announced plans to involve about 130,000 reservists in a military operation to capture Gaza City. The first wave of 40,000-50,000 people will begin service on September 2.

It is expected that active hostilities in the region will continue until 2026, which indicates the scale and duration of the planned operation.

The involvement of such large reserve forces reflects the seriousness of Israel's intentions to strengthen control over Gaza and ensure the fulfillment of military tasks in a high-intensity conflict.

"One million calls per hour": how Israel uses the Microsoft cloud to monitor the Palestinians on a large scale and use the data for military operations

The Israeli Army (IDF), in particular cyber unit 8200, has implemented a large-scale project of mass surveillance of the Palestinians, using the Microsoft Azure cloud platform to store a huge array of phone calls and data from mobile phones. The system began operating in 2022 and allows you to collect and save audio recordings of millions of calls daily from Gaza and the West Bank, creating a huge database of intelligence information. The infrastructure is based on Microsoft data centers in Europe, in particular, in the Netherlands and Ireland.

Cooperation between Microsoft and the IDF began after a meeting in late 2021 between Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and head of the 8200 division Yossi Shariel. A separate isolated segment in Azure with enhanced security has been provided for cyber intelligence. The Noisy message system, created using Microsoft platforms, is able to detect suspicious SMS messages with keywords related to weapons, terrorist attacks, etc.

The data collected in the cloud was used not only for surveillance, but also for the analysis and preparation of military operations, including airstrikes in densely populated areas, where potentially dangerous targets were identified using call analysis, which, according to sources, was supposed to minimize civilian casualties. Sources also reported cases of data being used for blackmail, arrests, and even posthumous justifications for liquidations.

Microsoft representatives claim that the company did not know what specific data was stored in their cloud and that it did not develop or advise the IDF on the surveillance system. The company also stated that they have no evidence of using Azure or AI to target targets or directly cause harm. However, Microsoft employees and investors expressed concern about the company's role in this project, and an internal audit was initiated.

Thus, Israel uses Microsoft cloud technologies for large-scale collection and analysis of telephone data of the Palestinian population for the purpose of intelligence and military activity. This collaboration has become the subject of public and media outcry, given the ethical and legal issues related to mass surveillance, as well as the possible use of data for military operations.

The Israeli military will now learn Islam and Arabic to better understand the enemy

Now the Israeli military will not only have to shoot and march, but they will also have to study Islam and Arabic. This is not just a cultural course, it is a serious training that is being introduced by the Israeli Military Intelligence Directorate, AMAN.

Why? Because intelligence officers are increasingly faced with the fact that they cannot properly understand what is being discussed. Especially when it comes to Houthis from Yemen or reports from Iraq. They have their own dialects, slang, and religious references — and without a deep understanding of the language and culture, it's easy to miss something or translate it incorrectly.

Therefore, the program now includes not only general Arabic, but also special training in the Iraqi dialect and the Houthi language. This should help analysts decipher intercepted messages faster and more accurately, understand the motives of the enemy and predict his actions.

The goal is that by the end of next year, 100% of AMAN employees will be trained in the basics of Islam, and half will complete an Arabic language course.

This is not just a fashion for "intercultural dialogue" — it is a practical necessity. To win, you need to understand how the other person thinks. And in a region where every gesture and word can carry hidden meaning, such knowledge is not a luxury, but a matter of security.

Israel launched tanks in Deir el-Balah for the first time - what does this mean for the war in Gaza?

For the first time since the beginning of the war, Israeli tanks drove directly into the city of Deir el-Balah in the southern Gaza Strip. This is a serious signal: the ground operation has reached a new level. The Golani Brigade is behind this movement, one of the most experienced in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), and it is now actively conducting exercises and offensive operations in the area.

Before the infantry and armor moved forward, powerful airstrikes and artillery fire swept through the city. The classic scheme: first we "clear" the way from above, destroy fortifications, minefields and possible ambushes, and then we go ourselves. This way they reduce the risks for their soldiers, especially when they have to climb into the city — every house there can be a trap.

The fact that tanks entered Deir el-Balah is not just a tactic, but a clear step towards larger-scale street fighting. Previously, the main actions were conducted in the northern part of Gaza, but now the focus has shifted to the south. And this suggests that Israel continues to put pressure, expanding the zone of control and, most likely, trying to dislodge the last pockets of resistance.

What's next? It all depends on how the militants respond. If the resistance is tough, there may be heavy fighting in the city. If not— the IDF will gain a foothold and possibly begin the next stage of the operation. One thing is clear: the war in Gaza is entering a new phase, and tanks are no longer needed in the narrow streets.

Israeli startup Exodigo raised $96 million for underground mapping

Israeli startup Exodigo is back in the spotlight, this time because of the $96 million the company has raised in a new Series B funding round. Since its foundation in 2021, the startup has already raised $214 million, and its value is estimated at $700 million.

What do they do? Exodigo creates super—accurate underground maps using artificial intelligence and sensors, all without a single shovel. That is, you can just walk down the street or drive over some area, and the system will show everything that is hidden under the asphalt: pipes, cables, underground structures and even tunnels.

Where is it used?

Firstly, in the civil sector, utilities, road builders, energy and transportation companies are already actively using this technology, especially in the United States. There, with the help of Exodigo, they solve the tasks of laying new communications, repairing roads, and even building a subway.

But the most interesting thing is the military application. The Israeli military, which has long faced the problem of underground threats, such as the Hamas tunnels in the Gaza Strip or Lebanon, is particularly interested in such technology.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has long been developing technologies for underground reconnaissance and combat operations in tunnels. In particular, the Corps of Combat Engineers has a special unit, Yahalom, which is engaged in mapping underground facilities and training in fighting in such conditions.

That is, if earlier it was necessary to dig or use sensors to search for tunnels, now everything can be done remotely — and at much lower cost.

Imagine that you can see everything that is hidden underground without touching a single stone. This can be critically important not only for construction workers, but also for military personnel who work in dense buildings or in areas with a developed tunnel network.

Exodigo is still positioning itself as a commercial company, but it is clear that the technologies it develops will be in demand in the defense sector, and not only in Israel.

In general, the future underground is getting closer and closer — and it is more technologically advanced than ever.

The US is investing hundreds of millions of dollars to build military infrastructure for Israel

The documents revealed confirm that the United States continues to invest heavily in Israel's military infrastructure, sending hundreds of millions of dollars to build air bases, facilities for the IDF and other strategic infrastructure. These projects are implemented as part of the annual military assistance, which amounts to $3.8 billion and is intended for the purchase of weapons and military equipment by Israel.

Key areas of American military assistance

- Construction of new air bases and Air Force facilities: The United States is financing infrastructure projects to accommodate new tanker aircraft and helicopters of the Israeli Air Force, which enhances Israel's operational capabilities in the region.

- Facilities for elite units: Among the projects is a new headquarters for the Shayetet 13 Marine commandos, one of the most secretive and effective units of the Israeli army.

- Large-scale construction tenders: According to the US Army Corps of Engineers, about 20 construction projects funded by US military aid are being implemented in the near future alone. The total cost of these initiatives is estimated at billions of shekels.

- Infrastructure for new weapons: In addition to bases and headquarters, hangars, warehouses and technical centers are being built for the maintenance and storage of new equipment purchased with American funds.

Importance for military cooperation

- Strengthening Israel's defense capability: Investments in infrastructure allow Israel to quickly introduce new weapons, increase the mobility and effectiveness of its troops.

- Long-term strategic partnership: The US support demonstrates Washington's commitment to ensuring Israel's military superiority in the Middle East and preserving its "qualitative military advantage."

- Economic effect: A significant part of the funds is returned to the American economy through the purchase of equipment and services from American contractors.

Examples of ongoing projects

- Bases for new KC-46 tankers and CH-53K heavy transport helicopters.

- Command and training centers for special forces units, including Shayetet 13.

- Logistics complexes and warehouses for storing ammunition and equipment.

The United States continues to be Israel's main military ally, not only supplying weapons, but also investing in the development of key infrastructure, which ensures the sustainable development of the country's defense potential for years to come.

Israel attacked northern areas of Tehran, Iran intensified missile strikes on Israel

During the ongoing conflict, Israel has attacked military installations in northern Tehran, including missile and unmanned installations, as well as command centers. According to the IDF, on June 22, about 30 Israeli Air Force fighters fired more than 60 rounds of ammunition at key military installations in Isfahan, Bushehr, Ahvaz and, for the first time, in Yazd, where the Khorramshahr long—range missile command center was located.

In response to the Israeli strikes, Iran continues to launch massive rocket attacks on Israeli territory. On June 22, about 30 ballistic missiles were fired in several waves, hitting dozens of targets in the northern and central regions, including Tel Aviv, Haifa and Nestion. Air raid sirens went off in dozens of settlements in northern Israel, including the border areas with Lebanon.

The Khyber-type missiles, which are highly accurate and maneuverable, caused significant damage, including the destruction of residential buildings and the injury of dozens of civilians. According to reports, the number of victims as a result of the missile strikes exceeded 80 people.

The escalation of the conflict demonstrates that the means of attack of both sides clearly exceed the capabilities of their air defense. Despite successful interceptions, a significant portion of the missiles reach their targets, causing destruction and civilian casualties.

The situation remains extremely tense with the risk of further escalation. Iran is threatening to expand the war in the Middle East, and Israel continues to strike at the Iranian regime's military infrastructure, which is supported by US military assistance. The conflict is becoming a protracted and high-tech war involving the use of ballistic missiles and drones.

Correlation of solar activity and US military interventions in the Middle East

The scientific basis of the relationship

Studies confirm the influence of the 11-year cycle of solar activity on atmospheric processes. During periods of solar maxima, there are:

- Changes in atmospheric circulation: Correlation patterns of tropospheric circulation are increasing over the North Atlantic.

- Modification of jet streams: This affects the distribution of temperatures and precipitation, creating conditions for climatic anomalies in the Middle East region.

- Stratospheric mechanisms: Additional heating of the stratosphere changes the polar vortex, which has a downward effect on tropospheric processes.

Historical coincidences of interventions with solar maxima

Over the past four decades, key U.S. military interventions in the Middle East have surprisingly coincided with the peaks of the 11-year solar cycle. So, in 2003, when the invasion of Iraq began, the peak of the 23rd solar cycle was observed, which occurred in 2001-2002. This operation, known as Freedom for Iraq, has become one of the largest US military campaigns in the region.

In 2011, during the peak of the 24th solar cycle (around 2014-2015), the United States and its allies intervened in Libya, known as Operation Dawn Odyssey. The war in Syria, which began in 2014, also fell into the ascending phase of the same 24th cycle, when the United States began to strike at the ISIS terrorist organization as part of Operation Unwavering Resolve.

Finally, in 2025, at the peak of the 25th solar cycle, which falls on 2024-2025, the United States launched large-scale strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities in Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan. This event continues the trend of large-scale military operations coinciding with periods of high solar activity.

The start of Operation Unwavering Resolve in Syria coincided with the rising phase of the solar maximum.

Analysis of current events (2025)

Attack on Iranian nuclear facilities on June 21-22, 2025:

- Produced at the peak of the 25th solar cycle (2024-2025)

- Coincided with abnormal changes in atmospheric circulation over the North Atlantic

- Caused a cascade of geopolitical consequences:

- An increase in oil prices by 14.7%

- The migration crisis in Europe (3.2 million refugees in 2024)

- A split in NATO on deterrence strategy

The theoretical basis of correlation

Although a direct causal relationship has not been proven, the observed synchronicity can be explained through:

1. Climate stress: Solar maxima exacerbate droughts in the region, destabilizing socio-economic systems.

2. Geopolitical calculation: Countries initiating interventions can use forecasts of solar activity to plan operations during periods of atmospheric anomalies.

3. Energy factor: Changes in atmospheric circulation affect aviation logistics and precision of high-tech weapons.

The statistical correlation of U.S. military operations with peaks in solar activity has been traced for four decades. The coincidence of the strikes on Iran in June 2025 with the maximum of the 25th solar cycle continues this trend, highlighting the complex interaction of space, climate and geopolitical factors.

An Israeli air defense interceptor probably crashed in Haifa during an Iranian missile attack

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Home Front Command suspects that one of the Israeli air defense interceptors malfunctioned and crashed in the Haifa area during a recent ballistic missile attack from Iran. This incident caused the air raid sirens in the northern city to fail.

Details of the incident

- The early warning system transmitted a signal via a cellular connection, but the sirens in Haifa were not activated, as the missiles were not aimed directly at the city.

- According to preliminary data from the investigation of the Home Front Command, during the attack, one of the air defense interceptors malfunctioned, which crashed in the Haifa area.

- The causes of the failure and the circumstances of the crash continue to be investigated.

The lack of sirens caused concern among the residents of Haifa and called into question the effectiveness of the warning system in the face of rocket attacks. The IDF will strengthen the verification and modernization of its air defense and warning systems to minimize the risks of a repeat of such situations.

New cargo planes with weapons and equipment for the Israel Defense Forces have arrived in Israel

According to the Israeli Defense Ministry, several cargo planes with weapons and military equipment for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) landed in the country today. This delivery is part of an effort to ensure the continuity of military operations, meet all current army needs, and increase preparedness for continued conflict.

The Ministry of Defense emphasized that the supplies are aimed both at achieving the goals of the war and at increasing the stocks of weapons and equipment necessary to maintain the combat capability of the troops. Since the beginning of Israel's operation against Iran, 14 cargo planes with military equipment have already arrived in the country, joining more than 800 aircraft that have delivered equipment and weapons since the beginning of the conflict.

These shipments indicate the large-scale logistical support of the IDF and the continued mobilization of resources for combat operations in the context of the deteriorating situation in the Middle East.

Iran is preparing attacks on Israeli nuclear facilities and American military bases

US military bases in the region

In response to large-scale attacks by the United States and Israel on Iranian nuclear facilities, Iran is preparing missile strikes on Israeli nuclear facilities, sources say. After launching airstrikes and missile attacks on Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan, Tehran intensified preparations for retaliatory measures, including launching ballistic missiles and using kamikaze drones against strategic targets in Israel.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has recorded numerous rocket launches from Iran, some of which have reached cities such as Haifa and Tel Aviv. Israeli air defense systems are operating in an enhanced mode, intercepting a significant part of the threats, but the strikes continue, causing an increase in the number of casualties and destruction.

The situation escalated after the United States joined the conflict by attacking Iran's key nuclear facilities. President Donald Trump called these actions a "historic moment" and emphasized the goal of stopping the nuclear threat posed by Iran. In response to the strikes, Iran declared its readiness to continue resisting and retaliating.

Iranian channels show a map showing US military bases in the region: in Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and the United Arab Emirates.

Earlier, resources associated with the IRGC promised a "crushing blow" as an immediate response to possible American bombing.

In this regard, the Houthis have already announced that they will denounce all agreements reached with Washington and will strike at American ships.

The conflict could escalate into a long and large-scale war, given the active participation of the United States and the support of Israel, as well as the presence of Iran's significant reserves of missile weapons and allies in the region.

Israel's Iron Ray missile defense system is preparing for crucial tests

 Iron Beam

The flagship of the Israeli military industry, Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, will soon conduct crucial tests of the Iron Beam tactical laser missile defense system. This innovative system is designed to intercept ultra—short-range missiles - up to 10 kilometers, as well as to combat mortar shells and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

The Iron Ray uses a powerful laser beam with a power of about 100 kilowatts, which focuses on the target, causing it to heat up and destroy. The system is capable of automatically detecting and defeating threats using artificial intelligence-based algorithms, which ensures high reaction speed and accuracy. The main advantage of the Iron Beam is its cost-effectiveness: the cost of a single laser shot is only 5-10 dollars, while launching an Iron Dome rocket system costs about 30 thousand dollars.

Tests scheduled for 2025 will determine the possibility of adopting the system for the IDF in the last quarter of this year. The main technical difficulty remains the attenuation of the laser beam due to weather conditions - clouds, fog and rain reduce the efficiency of the system. In addition, the Iron Beam is capable of hitting only one target at a time, which requires its integration with other air defense systems, such as the Iron Dome, for comprehensive protection against massive attacks.

The system is available in three versions: mobile, stationary and marine, which expands the possibilities of its application. There has already been interest in Iron Beam from countries such as the USA, Singapore and the UAE, which indicates the high international potential of this technology.

The Iron Ray will be an important addition to Israel's existing air defense systems, strengthening protection against missile and drone threats and reducing defense costs. Development began in the early 2010s, and the first combat tests took place in 2022, including the successful interception of a mortar shell.

Thus, Iron Beam represents a technological breakthrough in the field of directed energy weapons and sets new standards in missile defense.

Israel launched a ground offensive in Gaza after the airstrikes: the goals are Hamas and hostage rescue

After a series of powerful airstrikes on targets of the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip, which killed more than 100 people, The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Launched a large-scale ground offensive. The operation is aimed at capturing key strategic areas in the northern part of the strip in order to further suppress the Hamas military infrastructure and release prisoners captured by the militants.

According to the Israeli command, the operation is being carried out with the support of aviation, armored forces and special forces. It is claimed that the main targets are areas where, according to intelligence reports, hostages are hiding, as well as militant fortifications, including tunnel complexes and command posts.

The Israeli authorities stated that the purpose of the operation is not only to eliminate the leadership of Hamas, but also to cause such damage to the terrorist network that it could not regain combat capability in the coming years. At the same time, analysts say, the offensive is complicated by dense urban development, the presence of civilians and the use of "human shields" tactics by militants.

Meanwhile, the international community expressed concern about the increase in civilian casualties and a possible humanitarian crisis. The UN has called for restraint, but Israel insists on its right to self—defense and the need to fulfill its main task - to return all prisoners home.

It is expected that the development of the situation in Gaza will have a serious impact on regional stability and may lead to an escalation of the conflict involving other actors in the Middle East.

Secrets of Israel on Google Maps: how the most classified objects ended up in the public domain

High-resolution satellite images of Israel's most secret sites, including the Dimona nuclear center, IDF military bases and operational areas in the Gaza Strip, are now available for viewing on platforms such as Google Maps. These images raise serious questions about the security and protection of sensitive information, especially given the strategic importance of these facilities.

Despite the obvious risks to national security, the Israeli Ministry of Defense remains silent on this issue. Meanwhile, global satellite services continue to publish data, circumventing the restrictions set by the United States back in the last century. These rules, known as the Kyl-Bingaman Amendment (KBA), previously prohibited the publication of detailed satellite images of Israel and the occupied territories with a resolution above a certain level. However, with the abolition of the KBA in 2020, such restrictions ceased to apply, paving the way for the publication of increasingly clear images.

Today, any Internet user can explore the Dimona nuclear center, where the bulk of Israel's nuclear program is believed to be located. Detailed views of military bases, training grounds, and even areas of recent military operations in the Gaza Strip are also available. This poses a potential threat to the country's security, as such data can be used by Israel's opponents to plan attacks or analyze military infrastructure.

Experts note that technological progress and the commercialization of satellite imagery have made it impossible to fully control the dissemination of such information. Companies such as Google, Maxar Technologies, and Planet Labs regularly update their image databases, not always considering the geopolitical implications. In the case of Israel, this has led to the fact that information that was previously considered highly classified is now available to everyone.

The Israeli authorities have not yet taken any significant steps to address this issue. The lack of an official response is puzzling to security experts, who stress the need for dialogue with international companies and governments to minimize risks.

Meanwhile, the situation raises new questions for countries about the balance between freedom of information and national security. The public availability of data on secret facilities is just one example of how technology is changing the rules of the game in the modern world.

Israel resumed fighting in Rafah: Ground operation in the Gaza Strip

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has launched a ground operation in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, near the border with Egypt. The move caused tension in the region and led to accusations from Hamas militants of unilaterally ending the truce.

The resumption of hostilities in Rafah was a response to the ongoing attacks by Hamas and other Palestinian groups. The Israeli authorities said the operation was aimed at ensuring the safety of citizens and preventing further attacks on the country.

The ground operation in Rafah involves the deployment of significant IDF forces, including infantry, armored vehicles, and artillery. The main objective of the operation is to destroy the Hamas infrastructure and neutralize militants who pose a threat to Israel.

Tanks in Jenin: a new escalation in the West Bank

The IDF is deploying tanks in the West Bank, sending them to Jenin

For the first time since 2002, the deployment of IDF tanks in Jenin is becoming a symbolic act demonstrating a serious escalation of tension in the West Bank. This decision by the Israeli Defense Minister, who announced a one-year occupation of refugee camps and the prevention of the return of 40,000 Palestinians, has far-reaching consequences.

The deployment of heavy armored vehicles to urban areas is not just a tactical decision. This is a strategic statement that changes the rules of the game in the region. Tanks in an urban environment are always a challenge for the local population, especially when it comes to refugee camps with their dense buildings and difficult social situation.

Key aspects of the current situation:

1. A time horizon of one year indicates the long-term plans

2. Preventing the return of refugees creates a new humanitarian crisis

3. Using tanks in urban environments demonstrates determination

This step raises a lot of questions.:

- How will the international community react to such a clear violation of international law?

- How will the long-term presence of tanks affect the lives of the local population?

- What consequences can blocking the return of refugees have?

The Minister of Defense, making such a statement, is obviously guided by several considerations:

1. An attempt to establish control over the territory

2. Creating a fact that will be difficult to change

3. Show of force in front of an internal audience

However, this approach contains significant risks.:

- Deterioration of the humanitarian situation

- Increasing tension among the local population

- Possible escalation of the conflict

It is interesting to note the context of this decision.:

- Comparison with 2002, when such actions led to a prolonged confrontation

- Overlap with other regional conflicts

- The impact of the domestic political situation in Israel

In the meantime, we are witnessing an example of how military force is used to solve political problems. The deployment of tanks in Jenin is becoming a symbol of a new stage in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, where traditional approaches are giving way to tougher methods.
