Lockheed Martin-Sikorsky has begun assembling the first CH-53K Pereh helicopter for Israel under a 12-vehicle contract

The American company Lockheed Martin, together with its subsidiary Sikorsky, has begun the final assembly process of the first CH-53K Pereh heavy transport helicopter for the Israeli Air Force. In total, Israel has ordered 12 such helicopters as part of a major contract under the Foreign Military Sales Program (FMS) concluded between the Israeli Ministry of Defense and the US government.

This helicopter, also known as the King Stallion, is a deep upgrade of the previous model, the CH-53E Super Stallion. The CH-53K has significantly improved flight characteristics, including an increased payload capacity of up to 16.3 tons on an external suspension. It is capable of transporting heavy loads, equipment and troops, including amphibious landings.

At the operational readiness level of the Israeli CH-53K, helicopter deliveries are expected starting from 2025-2026. These vehicles will significantly enhance the transport and tactical capabilities of the Israeli Air Force, expanding the range of operations for the transportation of large loads, evacuation and combat support.

Japan considers buying Israeli drone Heron-2 with participation of Kawasaki Heavy Industries to strengthen defense capabilities

Japan is showing interest in acquiring the Israeli drone Heron-2, which is manufactured by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI). The Japanese military is considering this possibility as part of the diversification of its arms purchases, which have traditionally been mainly carried out from the United States. Recently, a Heron-2 drone with Israeli registration and Kawasaki Heavy Industries designations was spotted at one of the Japanese airports, indicating that cooperation between Kawasaki and IAI on this project has already begun.

Such a partnership allows Japan to integrate Israeli developments into its defense system, and Kawasaki Heavy Industries is likely to act as a local partner in the maintenance, modification or production of components for the Heron-2 in Japan. This paves the way for the expansion of the capabilities of the Japanese Air Force and other security agencies in the field of intelligence and surveillance using modern unmanned systems.

The first British Boxer has arrived: the army has received a new combat vehicle assembled directly in the UK

The British Army officially received the first Boxer armored vehicle, which was completely manufactured in the UK itself. Previously, these machines were assembled in Germany, but now production has been moved to the Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land (RBSL) plant in Telford — and this is a major breakthrough. Why? Because this is not just a new technique, but part of one of the largest modernization programs of the army in recent years.

Now the Boxer is already in Bovington, where the crews are being trained. Now it will be used as a training platform: soldiers will learn how to operate, maintain and understand how this powerful eight-wheeled vehicle works. And, by the way, it is 8x8 — that is, all eight wheels are driving, which gives excellent cross-country ability on any off-road.

Boxer is not just an armored personnel carrier. It is modular: today it is infantry, tomorrow it is a command post or medical evacuation. The main thing is that it will become the basis of a new, more mobile and secure army. So it's not just the supply of equipment. This is the beginning of a new era for the British ground forces.

The Wolf 25 AD is a Slovak mobile vehicle for effective combat against drones in modern aerial combat conditions.

Wolf 25 AD

The Slovak company DefTech has revealed its new miracle, the Wolf 25 AD combat vehicle, which was created specifically to combat drones. This machine is a very important solution for modern conditions where threats from the air change literally on the move.

The Wolf 25 AD is an armored 4x4 vehicle with enhanced mine protection. It was made at the initiative of Ukraine to help protect artillery and command posts from drones. The machine has passed all the tests and is already operating in Ukraine, where it has received good reviews.

Its engine is powerful — 450 hp diesel, maximum speed is up to 100 km / h, travels up to 700 km without refueling. The car weighs about 8 tons, has good protection and suspension to drive on difficult roads. A team usually consists of 4-5 people: a driver, a commander, a technician and a gunner.

The most interesting thing is the armament. On the roof stands the Mangart 25 AD turret with a 25 mm Oerlikon automatic cannon. It can fire very fast — up to 650 rounds per minute. The guns use special projectiles that explode in the air next to the drone, scattering fragments and destroying the flying device. If you miss, the projectile disappears after a few seconds, so as not to damage anything unnecessary. In general, a real "trap" for drones is being created around the car.

In addition, the car has 4 radars with a 360—degree view - they are made by the German company Rheinmetall. They can simultaneously monitor up to 150 aerial targets: small quadrocopters can see from 5 kilometers, and airplanes from 20. These radars are cooled by water and require separate power, but it is thanks to them that the machine catches drones so effectively.

The Wolf 25 AD is not just an anti—aircraft gun, it is a real mobile air defense system that is easily transported and quickly deployed. It is lighter and more maneuverable than its counterparts, such as the American IM-SHORAD. It can be used for various tasks, from protection to reconnaissance and fire support.

The car is currently undergoing large-scale tests in Ukraine, and judging by the reviews, it is performing well. After the tests, the issue of orders and deliveries in large batches will be resolved. This is a very promising complex, especially for the countries of Eastern Europe, where the threat of drones has increased dramatically.

Turkey has rolled out a new "scorpion" cannon: AKREP II with Cockerill turret at IDEF 2025

AKREP II with Cockerill turret

At the IDEF 2025 international arms exhibition, the Turkish company OTOKAR once again showed that it can make serious machines. The focus is on the updated AKREP II armored combat vehicle, but now with one important "feature": the CSE 90LP combat turret from the Belgian giant John Cockerill was installed on it.

What does it mean? In simple words, a small armored car has received tremendous firepower. The CSE 90LP turret is equipped with a 90 mm cannon, which is capable of piercing not only light armor, but also serious fortifications, and in the future, even outdated tanks. At the same time, the tower is lightweight, automated and ideal for platforms like AKREP II, which are valued for their mobility and fast delivery.

The AKREP II itself is already a proven vehicle: wheeled, fast, with good protection, it is used both for patrolling and in combat conditions. And now, with the new tower, he is turning into a real "hunter of technology" — especially in the context of local conflicts or urban battles.

Such cooperation between a Turkish manufacturer and a European gunsmith is not just a beautiful stand at the exhibition. This is a signal to the market: Turkey is seriously focused on exports, combining its reliable platform with advanced European weapons. And if you need a compact, but at the same time firing "heavyweight", the AKREP II with a Cockerill cannon can be an excellent choice.
