Israel has successfully completed extended trials of the upgraded David's Sling system in the Iron Swords War

The Israeli Defense Ministry recently announced the successful completion of a series of serious tests of the David's Sling air defense and missile defense system, which helped make it even more reliable and effective in the difficult conditions of the current war, known as "Iron Swords." The tests were conducted as part of planned flight tests led by the Israeli missile defense organization IMDO, with the support of the Defense Research and Development Authority and in active collaboration with the Americans from the Missile Defense Agency and Rafael, which developed the system.

During the tests, David's Sling worked out combat scenarios that are as similar as possible to real threats — this is how they tested how the system would react to medium-range missiles and various aerial targets. The missiles of the complex have two types of guidance, which helps to accurately shoot down targets in any weather and under different conditions.

David's Sling occupies a niche in Israel's overall defense system, between the Iron Dome, which operates at short range, and large systems at long range. Thanks to the latest updates, it is becoming a more powerful and reliable element of defense.

This is a very important step for Israel, because today the country is facing a great missile threat. The better the system works, the calmer people will be and the stronger the protection of strategically important facilities. Working together with the United States and companies like Rafael helps to improve technologies and make them more efficient.

US equips soldiers with advanced Danish anti-drone systems

Do you know how drones have become a real headache for militaries around the world right now? So the US Army decided to seriously upgrade the protection of its soldiers. They have signed a major contract with the Danish company MyDefence for the supply of wearable anti—drone systems - for as much as $ 26 million! This is not just another purchase of equipment, but a real breakthrough in how soldiers will defend themselves from drones in various parts of the world.

What kind of systems are these?

We are talking about modular, lightweight and user-friendly devices that soldiers can carry with them right on the battlefield. These gadgets will help detect and neutralize enemy drones, which are increasingly being used for reconnaissance and attacks. Imagine that every fighter will now have their own "anti—drone shield" - this will significantly increase the safety and effectiveness of operations.

Why is this important right now?

The threat of drones is growing every day. They are becoming more and more advanced, and the airspace is becoming more saturated and contested. In such circumstances, it is important to have flexible and mobile solutions that work in real time and can quickly respond to threats. That is why the United States relies on wearable systems — they give soldiers freedom of action and confidence in protection.

What does this mean for defense?

- Strengthening transatlantic ties: Cooperation with the Danish company shows that the allies are coming together to solve common problems.

- A new era in the fight against drones: mobile and efficient systems are becoming the standard in the arsenal of modern armies.

- Increased soldier safety: fewer risks and more opportunities for successful missions.

All in all, this is a great example of how technology makes war a little safer for those who wage it.

Iranian Majid air defense system: effective protection against Israeli drones

Iran's Majid short-range air defense system has proven itself to be an effective means of countering Israeli reconnaissance and attack drones. Due to its compactness and high mobility, the system can be quickly masked and also quickly put into combat mode, which has become a crucial factor in its successful use in the fight against drones.

Majid is a short—range anti-aircraft missile system developed by the Iranian Ministry of Defense and commissioned in 2021. It is capable of simultaneously hitting up to four aerial targets at a distance of up to 8 km and an altitude of up to 6 km, including drones, cruise missiles and helicopters. The system is equipped with an optoelectronic system for detecting and tracking targets, as well as fire control with a high reaction rate of about 3 seconds.

The complex is installed on the Aras 2 tactical chassis, which provides mobility and the ability to move quickly. The AD-08 missiles used with passive infrared guidance ensure high accuracy and reliability of hitting targets.

It is the combination of compactness, mobility and speed of deployment that allows Majid to effectively repel attacks by Israeli drones such as Heron, which lack stealth technology and are vulnerable to modern air defense systems.

Greece may purchase Blue Whale autonomous underwater vehicles

To protect its territorial waters from Turkey, Greece may purchase autonomous underwater vehicles Blue Whale from Israel Aerospace Industries.

As part of the arms buildup in response to threats from Turkey, Greece is considering the possibility of purchasing at least 10 unmanned Blue Whale submarines manufactured by Israel Aerospace Industries.

Greece is interested in strengthening its capabilities to control and protect its maritime borders, over which it has disputes with Turkey. Unlike Greece, Turkey has refused to sign the Convention on the Continental Shelf and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) because it does not accept the prevailing consensus of the international community that the islands are independent parts of the mainland, not connected to the mainland. In other words, each island — in this case, the Greek one — has an independent continental shelf, as a result of which it has the right to territorial waters of 12 nautical miles.

Drone Blastr: A new acoustic wave anti-drone system

Fractal Antenna Systems has developed a Drone Blastr system using ARM (Acoustic Resonance Mitigation) technology — directional sound, ultrasonic and infrasound waves, frequency-adjustable. These waves induce resonance in the drone's parts, causing micro-disruptions, overheating, or failures in electronics and sensors. The frequencies are selected based on the characteristics of the target, allowing you to fine-tune the impact to a specific drone design.

ARM shows the greatest efficiency when exposed to propellers and inertial measurement units (imus), where vibrations disrupt the operation of gyroscopes and accelerometers. Drone Blastr operates from a distance, without the need to physically hit a target or use ammunition. The system can be integrated into ground installations or placed on interceptor drones for flexible and efficient use in various conditions.

Iran raises the stakes: supplies of missiles capable of reaching Europe

According to The Times newspaper, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has for the first time handed over modern short-range and long-range ballistic missiles to pro-Iranian Shiite militants in Iraq. Moreover, the latter, according to sources, are capable of hitting targets in Europe. This is possibly the first time that long-range surface-to-surface missiles have been placed at the disposal of a group linked to Iran in Iraq.

The delivery allegedly took place last week, according to Western intelligence. If the information is confirmed, it could mean a strategic forward deployment for a second strike in the event of an attack on Iran. Earlier, US President Donald Trump threatened to destroy Iran by September.
