The German defense company Rheinmetall and the Indian Reliance Defense have announced the start of strategic cooperation in the field of ammunition supplies. The official launch of the partnership was the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) representatives of both companies.
The central element of the agreement was the announcement by Reliance of plans to establish a new manufacturing facility in the Watad Industrial Area located in Ratnagiri district, Maharashtra, India. This company will specialize in the production of modern ammunition, which will strengthen the country's defense sector and increase exports of military products.
Cooperation with Rheinmetall, one of the leading European developers of weapons and security systems, provides India with access to advanced technologies and production standards. In turn, the German company gets the opportunity to expand its presence in the rapidly growing Indian arms market and participate in the implementation of the "Made in India" program aimed at developing local production.
This partnership can be an important step in modernizing the Indian defense industry and strengthening its role in the international arena.
