L3Harris has built a $100 million center in Florida for the Golden Dome, and that's just the beginning

New Satellite Testing Center in Palm Bay

The American defense giant L3Harris Technologies has launched a new satellite integration and testing center in Palm Bay, Florida, a 94,000-square—foot facility known as Building 31. Its cost is 100 million dollars. This is not just another building.: It was created to work with critical systems, including to support the national missile defense program, which is informally called the Golden Dome.

Here, satellites will be assembled, tested and prepared for launch, which will have to see the rockets even in the launch phase.

Golden Dome Support — How it Works

Although construction began even before the Golden Dome became a public initiative, L3Harris immediately relied on promising technologies. The Palm Bay center will test satellites that will become part of a multi-layered space network. These devices are supposed to detect ballistic and hypersonic missiles, track their trajectory and transmit data to land and sea missile defense systems.

Without such centers — with high-precision equipment and a controlled environment — it would be too risky to launch satellites into space. A mistake on Earth is better than a failure in orbit.

Two factories, 200 jobs and high salaries

Building 31 is only part of the plan. The second facility to be built on the same campus is a 98,000—square-foot state-of-the-art microelectronics center. It will produce a "brain" for satellites: microcircuits capable of withstanding radiation, temperature changes and harsh space conditions. Production will be located in a clean room, which is a prerequisite for such technologies.

Both projects will create about 200 new jobs. The average salary ranges from 105 to 111 thousand dollars per year. These are not just assembly line workers, but engineers, technicians, test and micro-design specialists.

Why Florida is Becoming America's Space Hub

Palm Bay is not a random choice. It is only 45 minutes from Cape Canaveral, where SpaceX, ULA, and others launch. The proximity to launch sites, well-developed infrastructure, and state support (including tax incentives) make the region attractive to defense and space companies.

L3Harris has been here for a long time, but is now expanding — because the demand for space defense has grown dramatically. And Florida is becoming not only a rocket launch site, but also a place where these rockets and satellites are assembled, tested and prepared for combat.

Trump's Golden Dome is a new multi—level missile defense system with space, lasers and unique batteries

President Donald Trump has returned with a massive plan to protect the United States from missile threats — a system called the Golden Dome. This is not just another defense program, but a multilevel, almost fantastic system that consists of four layers of protection, like an onion.

The first layer is located right in space — there will be special satellites with sensors that watch for rocket launches around the clock and transmit data to ground stations. Thanks to them, a threat can be detected very early.

And then there are three layers of the earth.: These are networks of interceptor missiles, powerful radars and... lasers! Yes, yes, lasers — although they are still in development, but there are plans to introduce them for fast and accurate protection. These batteries will be distributed throughout the United States — on the mainland, Alaska and Hawaii. It is planned to place 11 such batteries in total.

Another interesting point is that the project provides for the construction of a new huge missile range in the Midwestern United States, where the latest interceptor missiles, including those manufactured by Lockheed Martin, will be developed and tested.

According to the plans, the Golden Dome should become the largest and most technologically advanced shield — it will protect the country from ballistic, hypersonic and cruise missiles, including those that can carry nuclear warheads. The total cost is estimated at hundreds of billions of dollars, and the system is scheduled to be operational by 2028.

Trump claims that the system will be as effective as possible, and hopes that it will become a serious signal of US power and a deterrent to potential adversaries.

Canada is one step away from the "Golden Dome": the path to the Trump missile defense system is now open

Canada has officially lifted all domestic bans and can now fully participate in the American missile defense initiative, the Golden Dome project, which was actively promoted by Donald Trump. Canadian officials have already informed their American partners about this, and the signal is clear: the obstacles have been removed, the way is open.

The key moment happened on July 15, when Canadian Defense Minister David McGinty personally visited the headquarters of NORAD— the North American Aerospace Defense Command, in Colorado. There, he met with U.S. General Gregory Guillot to discuss further cooperation. Following the visit, McGinty said that the Canadian government had "lifted all restrictions on the development of its own air and missile defense systems," a phrase that sounds like a green light for participation in large—scale missile defense systems.

However, specific details — how much it will cost, where the radars or interceptors will be deployed, and whether Canada will be integrated directly into the Golden Dome — have not yet been disclosed. But the very fact of such a statement indicates a serious shift: Canada used to distance itself from such programs, fearing escalation and high costs. Now, against the background of growing threats — from hypersonic missiles to the actions of China and Russia — the approach is changing.

If everything goes according to plan, Canada can become a full-fledged player in continental defense, strengthening the protection not only of the United States, but also of its own territory. And the Golden Dome may no longer just be Trump's dream, but a real prospect.

The Pentagon has put on the line: the tests of the "Golden Dome" will be held under the gun of the 2028 elections

The Pentagon has taken on an enormous challenge: to conduct the first major test of its new, multibillion-dollar missile defense system called the Golden Dome during the busy period from May to October 2028. This graph is not an accident. It was established with one clear goal: to have time to prove the effectiveness of the system before the presidential elections in 2028.

The tests will become a kind of public examination for military officials and the entire defense department. Their success will determine whether the administration of President Donald Trump will be able to realize his grandiose but extremely ambitious vision of the space shield. Trump has repeatedly stated the need to create a system capable of protecting the entire US territory from any missile attack, be it intermediate—range or intercontinental ballistic missiles.

The Golden Dome is not just an upgrade of old systems. This is an attempt to create a fundamentally new missile defense architecture, with a large number of sensors in space and on earth integrated into a single network, and new interceptors capable of destroying targets at the earliest stages of their flight. However, the technological and financial risks are huge.

The tight deadlines set before the elections add to the pressure. The success of the tests can be a powerful political trump card for the current administration, proving its ability to ensure national security. But if the deadline fails or is missed, the consequences could be disastrous for both the reputation of the program and the political prospects of Trump and his allies.

Northrop Grumman is building a "Golden Dome" for America — and wants to be in charge of the new air defense

The American giant of the defense industry Northrop Grumman has stated that it will not just be a participant, but a key player in the Pentagon's large—scale missile defense system called the Golden Dome for America. Does it sound like fiction? In fact, this is a new US strategy to create a unified, super—powerful air defense network capable of intercepting missiles, drones, and even hypersonic weapons.

Northrop Grumman is actively expanding its participation in the Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) program. The company already supplies radars, control systems, sensors and software that link everything together — from satellites to interceptor missiles. Now they want to become the "brain" of this whole system.

Why now? Because the threats are growing: China, Russia, and North Korea are all actively testing new missiles, including hypersonic ones. And the United States understands that the old systems are not enough. We need a unified network that sees everything, thinks fast and hits accurately.

In addition, the demand for such technologies is growing not only in the United States, but also abroad — the allies want to protect themselves. And Northrop Grumman is ready to supply not only components, but also entire defense architectures.

So the Golden Dome is not just a metaphor. This is an attempt to create an impenetrable shield over America and its allies. And Northrop Grumman is already building a place for itself at the center of this system.

America is building a "Golden Dome": the United States launched purchases of $ 151 billion for a super-powerful missile defense system

The United States has officially turned on the first gear in the race for a new era of missile defense — the country has launched a procurement procedure for the incredible amount of 151 billion dollars for a program called the Golden Dome. Does it sound like fiction? And this is real politics. The goal is not just to intercept a couple of missiles, but to build a large—scale, all—weather, all-pervasive system that can protect the entire continent from a wide variety of threats, from ballistic missiles to hypersonic projectiles.

What is the Golden Dome? So far, this is not one specific system, but a large-scale initiative that combines advanced technologies of the future: lasers, interceptor satellites, artificial intelligence for trajectory analysis, hypersonic sensors and much more. According to the idea, this will not just be an "umbrella" over the United States, but a multi-level shield capable of operating at all stages of the rocket's flight — from launch to the final approach to the target.

The money will be used for everything from R&D (scientific research and development work) before purchasing components, testing, and deploying new systems. It is already known that the project involves both traditional defense giants — Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman — and new players working with space sensors and AI.

Why now? The situation is heating up. China and Russia are actively testing hypersonic weapons, North Korea continues to launch, and threats are becoming increasingly difficult to predict. Older systems like GMD or Aegis can no longer handle it alone. We need something new - faster, smarter, more reliable. So we decided to build a "dome".

Interestingly, the name "Golden Dome" intentionally refers to the Israeli "Iron Dome", but with a difference in scale — there it was about protection from Qassam missiles, and here it was about survival at the superpower level. Just imagine: a network of satellites in space that see the rocket launch in real time, transmit data to earth, where AI instantly calculates the trajectory, and then an interceptor is launched — all in a matter of minutes.

However, critics are already grumbling: $151 billion is a lot of money. Will the project turn into a "bottomless barrel"? Yes, there is a risk. But the Pentagon believes that it is better to overpay now than to be left without protection later.

So the Golden Dome is not just a program. This is a strategic challenge for the future. And if everything goes according to plan, in 10-15 years that invisible but impenetrable shield may indeed appear over America.

Northrop Grumman is testing space interceptors for the Golden Dome — the race for the contract is underway

The situation around the grandiose American program about the Golden Dome is heating up. Northrop Grumman said it has already begun ground tests of orbital interceptor missiles designed for this system. This is a serious step forward and a clear signal to competitors.: We're in the game, and we're not just drawing on paper anymore.

The Golden Dome program itself is an ambitious plan to create a multi—layered shield against missile threats, including sensors in space, interceptors and powerful control systems. The goal is to intercept ballistic and possibly hypersonic missiles at the earliest stages of flight, right in space. Northrop Grumman, as one of the key contractors, has already received a major contract for this program.

However, so far everything is not so simple. It turns out that the US military itself has not yet fully decided on exactly what characteristics these space interceptors should have. The requirements are still being clarified, which creates some uncertainty. That is why the competition between companies for the right to supply components for the Golden Dome is becoming especially heated. Everyone wants to take their place in this multibillion-dollar project until the rules of the game are finally fixed. It turns out that Northrop Grumman is already testing missiles, but the customer has not yet said exactly which missiles he needs. An interesting situation!

Chinese scientists have developed a stealth material for projectiles invisible to the Golden Dome

The United States recently unveiled the Golden Dome, an ambitious missile defense system designed to protect the country from missiles from land, sea, air or space. In response, Chinese scientists talked about a material that could make Chinese projectiles invisible to the Dome's infrared and microwave detectors. In addition, it retains its qualities at temperatures up to 700 °C.

Developed by a group led by Professor Li Qiang of Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China, the high-performance stealth material is capable of operating in multiple detection ranges, including short-wave, medium-wave, and long-wave infrared, as well as microwaves, even at temperatures as high as 1,292 degrees Fahrenheit or 700 degrees Celsius.

With the development of detection technologies, materials for stealth technologies are being adapted to the tasks of providing multispectral protection, that is, masking objects in a wide range of wavelengths. However, many of the most important weapons systems operate at high temperatures due to aerodynamic drag or engine exhaust. Traditional materials for ensuring low visibility lose their effectiveness or even collapse in such conditions.

A team of scientists from Guangzhou University has developed a composite material with a meta-surface. The upper layer acts as waterproofing, while the lower layer provides high adhesion to the shell of the projectile. In addition, the multilayer film is carefully etched with a laser to allow microwaves to pass through without losing its protective properties.

In order to test their development, the scientists compared the material with a completely black body that absorbs all electromagnetic radiation falling on it. When heated to 700°The radiation temperature of the material turned out to be about 420-265 degrees lower than that of a black body, writes SCMP. In addition, it demonstrated a significant reduction in radiation intensity: 63.6% lower than that of a black body in the mid—infrared range and 37.2% lower in the short infrared range.

If infrared tracking turns out to be the main method of detecting and intercepting hypersonic weapons for the Golden Dome system, materials providing combined infrared and microwave stealth can significantly reduce the likelihood of detection, IE concludes.

Chinese researchers have created a relatively inexpensive tool worth more than $70,000 for guaranteed detection of American stealth aircraft. To do this, they modified a commercially available device, a telecommunications spectrum analyzer.

Geopolitical Analysis: Trump's Golden Dome and Preparations for World War III in Europe

In recent years, there has been an increasingly noticeable shift in emphasis in American foreign policy. Under the guise of peacemaking, diplomacy, and avoiding protracted conflicts, the United States seems to be preparing for a new geopolitical round — this time with global potential. In the shadow of the famous Golden Dome project, there are not just elements of a regional missile defense system, but the prerequisites for a large-scale clash between Russia and a united Europe, which could be the beginning of World War III.

This is not fiction, but a logical development of events hidden behind the rhetoric of "relieving tension" and "washing your hands of it." Behind this veil lies a well—developed strategy in which the role of the "good guy" goes to President Trump, and the "villains" to the European elites and Moscow. However, the reality is much more complicated.

From "peacemaker" to "arbiter": how the US is changing roles

Even at the very beginning of Trump's second presidency, analysts drew attention to his clearly provocative statements about the possible annexation of Canada, Mexico and even Greenland. Initially, this was perceived as a political joke or a marketing ploy. But over time, it became clear that this was not just an impulsive attack, but a manifestation of an updated version of the Monroe doctrine, now in its militaristic interpretation.

The Monroe Doctrine was once a shield against European influence on America. Now it is turning into a sword, which is being used to isolate the continent from the rest of the world. This is not only economic, but also strategic isolation under the guise of "national security."

Golden Dome: Shield or trigger?

Creation of a missile defense system called the Golden Dome is not just a step towards protecting North America. This is part of a broader strategy to create a safe zone around the United States, where the country will be out of reach of the coming chaos. At the same time, chaos itself is deliberately created in Europe, where military exercises are intensifying, the grouping of NATO forces is increasing, and pressure on Russia is increasing through Ukraine and other Eastern European countries.

At the same time, the American elites demonstrate an ambivalent position: on the one hand, they are allegedly withdrawing from the Ukrainian conflict, on the other, they continue to supply weapons, provide financial assistance and lay the foundation for new confrontations. Such a policy is beneficial: the more tension there is in Europe, the higher the demand for American weapons, technology, and investments.

Trump's role: from businessman to "world arbiter"

Trump, being an experienced negotiator and populist, ideally plays the role of a "peace trader." He makes harsh statements, then "softens" them, offering compromises that often turn out to be beneficial to the United States. His actions are reminiscent of the tactics of a former poker player, who first bets everything to cause fear, and then offers to negotiate — for an additional fee.

That is why there is no fundamental contradiction between Trumpism and the globalist elites. These are two faces of the same coin — different approaches to achieving the same goal: maintaining U.S. dominance on the world stage.

Conclusion: Who will win the next war?

History shows that the United States has always benefited from major wars. The First and Second World Wars made the United States an economic giant. It is possible that the Third World War will be a turning point for a new stage of hegemony.

But if Russia and Europe destroy each other, then the United States, sheltered under the "golden dome", can come out of the conflict as an arbitrator and winner, preserving the integrity of its territory and economy. This is the main goal:  to transfer the resources of Eurasia to America, using war as a tool of control and redistribution.

"Golden Dome": the concept of multi-level missile defense of the United States at a new technological level

How will the US Golden Dome missile defense system work?

The concept of the Golden Dome, which revives the ambitions of Ronald Reagan's Strategic Defense Initiative, but at a new stage of technological development, presents a multifaceted challenge and at the same time a tempting prospect for American strategists. At its core, the idea remains unchanged: the creation of a layered system capable of neutralizing the threat of enemy intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) even before their warheads reach the territory of the United States or its allies. The key difference from many existing systems focused on intercepting at the end of the trajectory is the emphasis on the early stages of rocket flight.

The first and most desirable stage for interception is the active, or booster, section of the flight. In those few minutes after launch, the ICBM is an ideal target: its massive engines are running at full power, creating a huge and easily detectable infrared trail. The missile has not yet reached maximum speed, its trajectory is relatively predictable, and, critically, it has not yet managed to deploy individual guidance warheads and false targets. Interception at this stage will neutralize all warheads in one blow. However, this is where the main difficulties lie. The reaction time of the system should be minimal, literally in a matter of minutes, and the means of interception should be located in the immediate vicinity of the launch site. For missiles launched from deep inside the territory of a potential enemy, this means either placing interceptors very close to its borders, which is politically and technically extremely difficult, or, as expected in the SOI and, probably, in the Golden Dome, using a space echelon.

Space interceptors, whether kinetic vehicles (essentially homing dummies that destroy a target with a direct hit) or advanced directed energy systems (combat lasers), can theoretically provide global coverage and rapid response. Imagine a constellation of satellites constantly patrolling the orbit, ready to rush to the ascending rocket on command. Modern advances in miniaturization, sensor technology, guidance systems, and artificial intelligence make this concept more realistic than it was during the Reagan era. Reducing the size and cost of individual interceptor satellites allows them to be deployed in larger numbers, increasing the density and reliability of the shield. If the interception failed in the active area, the second possibility comes – a medium-altitude, or marching, section of the flight, when the warheads have already separated and are flying along a ballistic trajectory in airless space. This is the longest stage of an ICBM flight, taking 20-25 minutes. It is also supposed to use space interception facilities. However, the task becomes more complicated. Warheads no longer emit heat like running engines, they are smaller in size, and, most importantly, they can be accompanied by numerous false targets – light inflatable simulators, dipole reflectors, and other means of overcoming missile defense. The key problem is selection – the ability of the system to distinguish real warheads from "dummy" ones. This requires ultra-sensitive multispectral sensors (infrared, optical, and possibly radar) capable of analyzing subtle differences in temperature, mass, trajectory, and other characteristics of objects. Data from these sensors, also located in space, must be processed in real time by powerful computing systems with elements of artificial intelligence to issue target designation to interceptors.

It is assumed that the Golden Dome will integrate data from various platforms – space, air, sea and land – into a single information management network. This will create a multi-layered system where each subsequent echelon insures the previous one.

For example, early warning satellites will record the launch, transmit data to orbital platforms with sensors for precise tracking and target selection, and then commands will be sent to space or ground-based (such as GMD) interceptors.

However, the technological challenges remain enormous. The development and deployment of such a large-scale space group will require astronomical costs, incomparable even with the current costs of missile defense. It is necessary to ensure the highest reliability of each component, because failure in even one link can be fatal. The reaction speed of the system, especially for interception in the active area, must be phenomenal, which imposes the most stringent requirements on control algorithms and communication channels.

Moreover, any such system will inevitably face active opposition. Potential adversaries will develop means to overcome it: hypersonic gliding blocks, maneuvering warheads, more advanced false targets, electronic warfare equipment to suppress sensors and communication channels, as well as anti-satellite weapons to directly destroy the components of the Golden Dome in orbit. The creation of such a "shield" could provoke a new round of the arms race, as other nuclear powers will seek to either create similar systems or increase their offensive potential to a level that is guaranteed to overcome the American missile defense system.

Thus, the Golden Dome, if implemented, will become a complex technological system based on the latest achievements in astronautics, sensors, information technology and materials science. Its architecture is likely to provide for a multi-level structure with a key role for the space echelon to detect and intercept ICBMs in the early and middle sections of the trajectory. The effectiveness of such a system will depend not only on the technological perfection of its components, but also on the ability to adapt to constantly evolving means of attack and overcoming missile defense. This is an eternal dialectical struggle of "sword and shield", reaching a new, cosmic level, with far-reaching strategic and financial consequences. The success of the Trump administration, or any subsequent one, in implementing such a project will depend on a breakthrough in a number of critical technologies and a willingness to incur unprecedented costs and a possible destabilization of the strategic balance.

Trump announced the creation of the $175 billion Golden Dome space missile defense system

President of the USA D. Trump on Tuesday announced the concept he wants to see in his future Golden Dome missile defense program, a multi—tiered $175 billion system that will launch American weapons into space for the first time.

Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump said that, according to his expectations, the system will be "fully operational by the end of my term," which ends in 2029, and will be able to intercept missiles, "even if they are launched from space." Most likely, by this point, the complex system will already have some initial capabilities, said a U.S. official familiar with the program.

Trump also announced that General Michael Getlein, who currently holds the position of Deputy Chief of Space Operations, will be responsible for overseeing the construction of the Golden Dome.
