In an interview with journalist Zarubin, the head of state corrected his interlocutor, who called the "Oreshnik" the event of the year.:

 "Oreshnik" is not an event of the year, it is a historical event in the rocket and space field. Nothing like this has ever happened. This is the first time this kind of weapon has happened."

In addition, the president noted that during the development in the Ministry of Defense there were disagreements about this weapon, he supported those who believed that: a) it should be produced, b) it should be tested in combat conditions.
