This is especially important in the context of modern conflicts, where speed of decision-making plays a key role.

In addition, the aircraft can be used to fight low-profile targets such as stealth fighters or cruise missiles. Electro-optical and infrared systems complement radars, creating a multi-channel detection system that has virtually no blind spots.

The KJ-700 is compact and highly efficient compared to its counterparts, such as the American E-2 Hawkeye. Thanks to modern technology and optimized design, it is able to perform tasks at a higher level while maintaining cost-effectiveness.

The photo in question shows a version of the KJ-700H aircraft from PLAN, apparently shown in flight for the first time. It shows an extensive set of aircraft sensors with the usual rotode on the top of the fuselage, complemented by many other antennas and fairings. Protruding rectangular fairings are visible on the sides of the rear fuselage, which are believed to contain an additional side-view radar (SLAR) in the form of active electronically scanned array (AESA) antennas. There is also evidence of an array of electro-optical windows in the nose cone of the thimble. Additional sensors are installed on the wingtips and in the tail fairing. The satellite communications antenna (SATCOM) installed on the upper part of the rotode is not visible in this picture.

China is testing new tailless combat aircraft

 Chinese tailless combat aircraft Shenyang J-XD and Chengdu J-36 have been spotted during flight tests since December 2024.

New images of Chinese tailless stealth aircraft Shenyang J-XD and Chengdu J-36 have appeared, demonstrating in more detail the features of their design.

The fact that both aircraft participated in flight tests first became known in December 2024 after videos of the tests appeared on Chinese social networks. Since then, the J-36 (provisional designation) has apparently conducted additional flight tests. However, the J-XD was no longer publicly seen in the air until three new photos and videos of the aircraft appeared on Chinese social media in April.
