The US Army predicts that additive technologies, in particular 3D printing, will become an integral part of military infrastructure "very, very soon." This was stated by several senior representatives of the department at a recent conference on land vehicles, emphasizing the strategic importance of this technology.

Currently, the army is actively exploring and testing 3D printing capabilities to solve a wide range of tasks. Among them are the production of drone housings, the printing of hundreds of components for armored vehicles and other vehicles, as well as the creation of spare parts directly in the field.

The main advantage of 3D printing lies in its ability to drastically reduce time and logistics costs. Instead of waiting for parts to be delivered from rear warehouses or from other countries, military units will be able to manufacture the necessary items on the spot, right on the front line. This is especially critical in remote or hard-to-reach areas.

In addition, additive manufacturing allows you to quickly adapt equipment to specific missions, speeding up the process of modernization and repair of equipment. For example, if a robotic system or UAV is damaged, you can quickly print the necessary part and return the equipment to service in a matter of hours.

Officials emphasized that the army's goal is not just to use 3D printing sporadically, but to scale its application throughout the unit. Standards for materials, equipment, and processes are already being developed to ensure the reliability and compatibility of printed parts with existing technology.

Israel has ordered 95 million dollars worth of assault rifles and machine guns from SIG Sauer

 Israel has placed a large order for infantry weapons from the American company SIG Sauer. According to information published on the official website of the US government's awards management system, on July 17, an agreement was finalized through the US Army Contract Command in the amount of $ 95 million. 

What exactly does Israel get? The contract includes many different types of weapons and related equipment: MCX assault rifles that use cartridges.300 Blackout, MMG 338 and LMG 7.62 mm machine guns, as well as silencers, spare parts and other necessary equipment. Interestingly, the MMG 338 machine gun was specially designed for the US Special Operations Command (SOCOM) competition, meaning it is a truly modern and advanced weapon.

Such an order indicates that Israel is actively updating and strengthening its arsenal in the field of infantry weapons, relying on the experience and technology of SIG Sauer, one of the leaders in the production of small arms. Obviously, the emphasis was placed not only on firepower, but also on functionality and reliability.

The fleet of American F-16 fighter jets, which for a long time formed the backbone of the Pakistani Air Force, was on the verge of collapse due to an acute crisis with maintenance and spare parts supplies. The growing problems with maintaining these aircraft in the air are putting Pakistan in front of a harsh reality: soon it may have no choice but to suspend the operation of almost the entire F-16 fleet.

The root of the problem lies in the harsh conditions imposed by the United States on the supply of critical components and software for these fighters. These limitations, related to political and strategic considerations, make it almost impossible to fully service and modernize aircraft. Without the necessary spare parts and permits to upgrade systems, aircraft simply cannot undergo a technical inspection and go on combat duty.

This technical impasse is forcing Pakistan to look for alternatives. Previously, dependence on the F-16 was huge, but now the country is actively increasing cooperation with China, integrating JF-17 Thunder fighters (a joint development with China) into its fleet and considering the possibility of purchasing more modern Chinese models such as the J-10C. Phasing out the F-16, although painful, is becoming a strategic necessity to ensure the independence and combat capability of its Air Force.

A report from the United States highlights the serious deterioration of the air defense system of the Bolivarian Armed Forces of Venezuela.

The document, prepared by analyst Jesus Romero, states that a significant number of the JYL-1 and JY-11B radar systems are inactive due to a shortage of spare parts, which seriously affects early warning capabilities. This is compounded by the limited availability of aircraft: Russian-made Su-30MK2 fighters fly only sporadically, the few remaining F-16s are limited in use, and AT-27 and K-8W Karakorum training aircraft play an almost symbolic role. For example, the latest Chinese-made model operates with less than 30% availability and does not have a functional air-to-air radar.
