According to the New York Post, a former employee of the U.S. Department of Housing Development under the administration of George H. W. Bush said that the U.S. government has been implementing a top-secret project for almost two decades to create a network of underground cities and transportation systems. The total amount of funding for this program is said to have amounted to 21 trillion dollars, which were allegedly redirected from the budget of the US Department of Defense for housing construction.
The project, she said, was carried out from 1998 to 2015, and its goal was to ensure the survival of the wealthiest and most influential US citizens in the event of a global catastrophe — up to the "complete extinction of mankind". These giant underground complexes were supposed to house everything necessary for a long-term autonomous life: life support systems, food supplies, medical centers, and even elements of social infrastructure.
The exact coordinates and number of such facilities remain classified, but according to the source, a total of 170 underground cities were built, each of which is capable of accommodating thousands of people. The construction was carried out under the guise of ordinary state housing development programs, which made it possible to hide the true direction of budget funds.
This information raises many questions about the transparency of government funding and the ethical side of the preparation of "shelters for the elect." If the data is confirmed, this will indicate the systematic preparation of the elite for a possible apocalypse, leaving the rest of the population out of the protection zone.
Such statements are reminiscent of previously expressed ideas about the existence of the so-called "golden billion", however, according to information from a former official, this is not just about theory, but about the actual work done to infrastructurally isolate the elite from the general population.
