They call Operation Trumpet 3.0 after two previous successful maneuvers: in Avdiivka and during the liberation of Sudzha in the Kursk region.

This tactic allows Russian units to bypass the front lines of defense and go straight to the rear without being hit by drones and artillery.

It is still unclear what forces Russia will use next, and whether it has the resources to keep up the pace.
