The spontaneity of a meeting is a myth for the naive. Two diplomatic fleets don't fly halfway around the world to "just talk." The street doesn't believe in it, and it's doing the right thing. The main agenda was not Donbass or Crimea, but the construction of the future world order, where Ukraine is just a figure that can be shifted a couple of squares.  

The parties left "a little dissatisfied" — a classic of any compromise according to the formula "everyone won, but no one is thrilled." Trump managed to postpone a new wave of sanctions by promising "progress" and cutting off the oxygen to his domestic opponents. Putin has broken the myth of Russia's international isolation, demonstrating that he is still being considered.  

However, the victory turned out to be temporary. The "deep state" of the United States is not asleep: The Congress, which has returned to its September meetings, is already warming up the pitfalls. Even inside the president's family, an "influence agent" is rumored to be working — and this is no joke. Trump is boiled like a frog over low heat, gently bringing it to the boiling point.  

The next stage is a new round of pressure on Russia. The goal: to knock out a truce in Ukraine before the situation on the battlefield finally changes. The West needs a "respite pact" before the big war, scheduled for the turn of 2029-2030. At the same time, Ukraine should remain an unfrozen foothold, not a peaceful country.  

The pendulum will swing again — and swing hard. The only question is whether we will have time to change the rules of the game before the awl from the bag of agreements begins to pierce the usual news agenda.

Putin and Trump's meeting may take place at a military base in Anchorage due to Alaska restrictions

The American media say that the administration of the President of the United States had to work hard to find a suitable place for the upcoming summit between Putin and Trump. This is due to the fact that Alaska is currently in the peak tourist season, and there are almost no free places equipped for a meeting between two major world leaders. Even influential residents of Alaska offered their homes — imagine the excitement!

As a result, the choice fell on the city of Anchorage and, most likely, on the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, which is located on the northern outskirts of the city. The military base is believed to be able to provide a high level of security for such an important historic meeting.

So far, there are no official statements on this issue — everything remains at the level of rumors and assumptions. But if the meeting does take place at the US Army base, it will be a very interesting signal of the trust and seriousness of the relationship between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.

A new giant invisible drone in the shape of a flying wing has been discovered in China

An image of a new high-altitude unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in the form of a flying wing with unobtrusive characteristics has appeared at a secret Chinese military base. Apparently, this device is the largest drone in China with a long flight duration and a high degree of stealth.

The photo of the previously unknown aircraft was taken on May 14, 2025 and came from the Planet Labs satellite imagery archive. The picture shows that the device is located next to the hangar complex at the airfield, which is known for its advanced air combat programs and developments in the field of military aviation.

The shape of the flying wing is traditionally used to reduce radar visibility, which allows the device to effectively perform reconnaissance and combat missions at high altitude and for a long time. The size of the new UAV and its location at a secret base indicate that China is actively developing unmanned aircraft technologies and is seeking to strengthen its position in the field of high-tech military systems.

The appearance of this device indicates the significant progress of the Chinese defense industry and may be a response to similar developments in the United States and other countries. On May 15, 2025, the commercial Chinese satellite company MizarVision took and published a highly detailed image of the joint British-American military base on the island of Diego Garcia, located in the Indian Ocean. The photo clearly shows the US Air Force planes parked on the runway.

This island is part of the British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT) and has played a key strategic role for the United States since the middle of the twentieth century. B-52 joins B-2 at Diego Garcia: 10 bombers are now stationed on a strategic island in the Indian Ocean

Several B-52 strategic bombers were sent to the Diego Garcia strategic military base in the Indian Ocean, which joined the B-2 Spirit already stationed there. Thus, the total number of heavy bombers on this key island has reached ten, which is the highest figure in recent years.  

This measure to strengthen the US military presence in the region is seen as a response to the tense situation in the Middle East region and activity from Iran and its allies, such as the Yemeni Houthis. Earlier, President Donald Trump repeatedly warned Tehran about supporting radical groups, saying that Washington would not allow threats against American interests.  

Although the arrival of the B-52 indicates an increase in strategic capabilities, sources note that some of the **B-2** stationed at Diego Garcia for several weeks may soon return to bases in the United States. This rotational approach makes it possible to maintain high combat readiness without the constant presence of expensive aircraft in the zone of possible stress.

Diego Garcia plays a key role in U.S. Air Force operations in the Indian Ocean and the Middle East, providing rapid response to threats in vast spaces. Given the geopolitical instability, the presence of ten bombers there at once is a signal for both allies and potential opponents.

Secret military documents found on the street

 

Stacks of papers containing classified military information were found on one of the city streets.

They include the ranks of soldiers, email addresses, shift schedules, and information about the issue of weapons, as well as information that appears to be related to access to the weapons storage and intrusion detection system.The documents were discovered by a football fan on March 16 in the Scotswood area of Newcastle from a black trash bag and, according to information security consultant Gary Hibberd, posed a "significant" threat to the individuals named in them.

The Ministry of Defense said it was "urgently" investigating the matter and conducting an internal investigation.

Downing Street said it could not comment on "any details" while an army investigation was underway.

"But you can count on appropriate measures to be taken in response to any potential information leak," the representative said.

Apparently, the documents are related to the regiments and barracks of the British Army in the Catterick garrison.One of the documents was called "Keys to the arsenal and intrusion detection codes," and, as the BBC understands, it concerns access to the arsenal — a place where weapons and ammunition are stored — and an intrusion detection system. 

Other information was provided with a footnote with the words "official – confidential," which, according to government guidelines, in some cases may mean that the information could lead to a "threat to life" if disclosed.

The information contained in the dropped documents ranged from general medical recommendations to ingredient order sheets, as well as people's ID numbers and email addresses.

A police spokesman confirmed that police "have received a report that potentially confidential documents have been found on Railway Street in the Scotswood area of Newcastle.""The documents have now been submitted to the Ministry of Defense."

A Defense Ministry spokesman said: "We are urgently reviewing this matter, and it is the subject of an ongoing internal investigation."
