The £250 million renovation of the Ministry of Defence facility in Gloucestershire will play a "key role" in modernising the British army.
As part of the infrastructure program, storage facilities for army equipment are being built at the US Department of Defense base in Ashchurch, near Tewkesbury.
By 2027, the facility will have the capacity to store 4,000 vehicles, including tanks and Land Rovers, in a humidity-controlled environment to prevent deterioration and ensure they are ready for deployment.
Many of the vehicles, provided to Ukraine by the British Army, arrived via Gloucestershire.
