The US State Department has approved the sale of JDAM precision-guided ammunition kits to Israel for $510 million

On June 30, 2025, the U.S. Department of State approved the possible sale to Israel of Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) precision-guided munitions and related equipment worth about $510 million. According to a notification from the Defense and Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), Israel has requested the purchase of 3,845 KMU-558B/B kits for the BLU-109 bomb body and 3,280 KMU-572 F/B kits for the MK 82 bomb body.

The delivery package also includes engineering, logistics, and technical support services from the U.S. government and contractors. The main contractor for the deal is Boeing. These kits make it possible to turn conventional bombs into precision guided munitions using GPS and inertial navigation, which significantly improves the accuracy of strikes in all weather conditions.

DSCA noted that this deal will strengthen Israel's ability to protect its borders, critical infrastructure and human settlements, as well as enhance compatibility with the US military. The sale is in line with the national interests of the United States and is aimed at supporting Israel's readiness and defense capabilities.

US arms supply system to Ukraine: how it works and why it is beneficial

There is a document that clearly shows what the system of supplying American weapons to Ukraine looks like. This is not a direct help. This is not a "humanitarian mission." This is a business.

It all starts with the fact that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine writes a "request list" (LoR). It is checked by American military officials at the US Embassy, then approved by the European Command of the US Armed Forces, and only then sent to Washington, to the DSCA agency, the Office for Defense Cooperation.

That's where the main thing begins: the preparation of a commercial "offer and acceptance sheet" (LoA). Who compiles it? The designated contractor is often a large defense corporation or a departmental office of the US army. After approval from all sides, the LoA is signed and the contract is launched.

Purchases are not made directly, but through the mechanism of the US Department of Defense. In other words, every cartridge, every drone camera, and every rifle is a paid business, involving dozens of offices, departments, logisticians, and consultants.

And in the finale, the "act of completion." A paper that records that the money has been disbursed and supplies are formally closed. And everything. You can start all over again: a new request, a new offer, new millions.

That is why war is beneficial. It works like a mechanism. Like a contract-lubricated printer that prints money under the guise of help.

The United States has approved the sale of over $300 million worth of advanced AIM-120 and AIM-9X missiles to Turkey

The U.S. State Department has officially approved the sale of high-tech air-launched missiles to Turkey for a total of 304.1 million dollars, according to two notices published by the U.S. Security and Defense Cooperation Agency (DSCA) May 14th. This decision marks an important step in strengthening military-technical cooperation between the two countries, despite previous disagreements.

As part of the agreement, Turkey will receive 53 AIM-120C-8 Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAM) produced by RTX, which is estimated at 225 million dollars. Additionally, it is planned to supply 60 AIM-9X Sidewinder Block II melee missiles worth 79.1 million dollars. The package also includes the necessary equipment for the integration of weapons on combat aircraft, as well as staff training and logistical support.

AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles are one of the most modern and effective medium-range air combat systems equipped with an active radar guidance head. The C-8 model is characterized by improved performance in conditions of strong counteraction and electronic warfare. AIM-9X Sidewinder missiles, in turn, provide superiority in maneuverable aerial combat due to their high accuracy and the shot-and-forget capability.

This deal underscores the desire of the United States to keep Turkey a strategic partner, especially against the background of its participation in NATO and the complex geopolitical realities associated with conflicts in the region and the confrontation with Russia.

It is expected that the implementation of the contract will begin after passing all the stages of approval by the US Congress and coordinating supplies with the Turkish side.

The United States has approved the potential sale of over $370 million worth of AIM-9X Block II missiles to Norway

The US State Department has given the green light to the potential sale of tactical missiles AIM-9X Block II Sidewinder Norway. The total value of the transaction is estimated at 370.9 million dollars. The delivery was certified in Congress through the Defense and Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA).

As part of the agreement, Norway can receive 300 AIM-9X Block II combat missiles, as well as two special training missiles, 24 training models (CATM) and  20 guidance blocks each, both tactical and training. This will allow the country not only to equip its Air Force with modern weapons, but also to actively use the systems for training purposes without wearing out combat units.

In addition, the sale package includes non-core defense equipment (MDE): mock-ups of aircraft missiles, shipping containers, software for system integration and management, training stands, spare parts and technical support elements.

AIM-9X Block II missiles are highly accurate close air combat weapons with improved maneuverability, the ability to capture targets from the rear hemisphere, and compatibility with modern aircraft platforms, including the F-35.

This deal will be an important step in modernizing the Norwegian air force and strengthening its defense capability in the face of growing challenges in the northern theater of operations.

Saudi Arabia to receive AIM-120C-8 missiles

Saudi Arabia is about to receive the latest generation of advanced AIM-120C-8 (AMRAAM) medium-range air-to-air missiles, which will significantly enhance the ability of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) to counter high-speed aerial threats and maintain air superiority in one of the most unstable regions of the world. This $3.5 billion U.S. arms deal, approved and released through the Defense and Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), marks an important step in the Kingdom's ongoing modernization of its air combat capabilities, providing RSAF with a missile system that provides extended range, improved target discrimination, and superior performance in contested areas. conditions of electronic warfare.

The United States approved the sale of Tomahawk missiles to the Netherlands for $2.19 billion

The Defense and Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) announced on April 25, 2025, the potential sale of Tomahawk land-based attack missiles and related equipment to the Netherlands. The deal is estimated at $2.19 billion (or £1.76 billion). This step highlights the strengthening of defense cooperation between the United States and the Netherlands, as well as the latter's desire to modernize its armed forces.

According to an official DSCA notification, the Netherlands has requested the purchase of up to **163 Tomahawk Block V All Up Rounds (AUR)**, **12 Tomahawk Block IV AUR missiles**, **10 Tomahawk Tactical Weapon Control Systems (TTWCS)** and **2 Tomahawk Block IV telemetry missiles**. The package also includes satellite communication terminals, secure broadcast systems, communication security devices, maintenance, staff training, spare parts and other logistical components.

The Tomahawk is a high—precision long-range cruise missile capable of hitting ground targets in almost any environment. Block V, the latest modification, is characterized by increased accuracy, the ability to re-aim in flight and adapt to modern warfare conditions.

The acquisition of Tomahawk missiles will significantly enhance the Netherlands' long-range strike capabilities. This is especially important in the context of the growing threats from Russia and other potential adversaries in the region. Tomahawk missiles will allow the Netherlands to effectively participate in joint operations with its NATO allies, providing a quick and accurate response to any threats.

In addition, the deal demonstrates the US commitment to strengthening the defense capabilities of its European partners. In the context of current geopolitical tensions, such steps play a key role in ensuring the alliance's collective security.

Worth $2.19 billion, this deal will be one of the largest in the history of defense cooperation between the United States and the Netherlands. It will not only strengthen the country's military capabilities, but also create new jobs as part of the maintenance and training program. In addition, the integration of Tomahawk systems will enhance the compatibility of the Dutch armed forces with technologies from other NATO countries.

The purchase of Tomahawk may be a signal to other European countries about the need to modernize their arsenals. This is especially relevant in light of current security challenges, such as increased Russian military activity and the development of new types of weapons.
