The first upgraded M270A2 multiple launch rocket system, designated UK001 and codenamed Artemis in the United Kingdom, was delivered to the United States for training personnel and conducting live firing using new equipment.

The M270A2 system is an improved version of the classic M270 multiple launch rocket system, equipped with modern guidance, fire control and increased accuracy. The Artemis upgrade includes improved communication systems and integration with digital combat management networks.

Training in the United States will allow British specialists to master the new capabilities of the complex, as well as to work out the tactics of its use in modern combat operations. Live firing will be an important stage in preparation for the deployment of the systems in the units of the British Army.
